Description

Sköll (meaning ‘mocker’) and Hati (the ‘hater’) are wolves in Norse mythology, born of the infamous Norse wolf Fenrir. The wolves are said to chase through the sky; Sköll is thought to chase the Sun and Hati the Moon. Their attempts will only succeed when Ragnarok happens – the event of the downfall of the cosmos where the earth darkens and collapses. Metal fans might recognise these wolves from Swedish metal band Amon Amarth’s song Sköll and Hati on their 2019 album Berserker.
